About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Awareness & Training Consultant to drive and manage cybersecurity awareness, employee education, and security culture initiatives across the organization. The role will be responsible for coordinating awareness programs, analyzing training effectiveness, supporting phishing simulations, and developing engaging security communications aligned with current cyber threats and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage cybersecurity awareness and security training programs across the organization.
- Plan and execute security awareness campaigns focused on current and emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Track and analyze training participation, completion rates, assessment results, and overall awareness effectiveness.
- Prepare periodic dashboards, management reports, compliance reports, and security awareness metrics for key stakeholders.
- Support the planning and execution of phishing simulations and analyze simulation results to identify awareness gaps.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity awareness content, training materials, newsletters, presentations, and security communications.
- Ensure awareness content remains aligned with current threat trends, organizational policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Information Security, IT, HR, Compliance, and other business teams to deliver effective awareness initiatives.
- Identify areas of improvement based on employee behavior, training metrics, phishing results, and security incidents.
- Promote a strong security culture by educating employees on cybersecurity best practices, secure behaviors, and organizational security policies.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and evidence related to security awareness activities for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity awareness and training framework.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security awareness, security training, GRC, or a related information security domain.
- Strong experience in managing cybersecurity awareness and training programs within an enterprise environment.
- Experience with phishing simulation programs and security awareness campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret training, phishing, participation, and compliance metrics.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, presentations, and management-level security updates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity threats, security best practices, social engineering, phishing, and employee security behavior.
- Experience developing engaging cybersecurity awareness content and communications.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, coordination, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with enterprise cybersecurity awareness platforms or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with security awareness frameworks, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or similar security standards.
- Experience working in large enterprise or client-facing environments.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent would be an advantage.
