ABOUT THE POSITION
California Burrito is a fast-growing food company that believes fast-food should be different. Our dream is to inspire a fast-food culture that offers wholesome, sustainable & great tasting food made from real ingredients. We’re looking for a Copy Lead who doesn’t just write, but owns the voice of the brand. Someone with a very creative, slightly whacky brain who can keep things bold, fresh, and unmistakably on-brand across everything we put out.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3+ years of experience in copywriting
- Experience working on FMCG or food brands (agency background is a big plus)
- A very creative, slightly whacky thinker who can come up with original ideas consistently
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
- Solid creative judgement. You know what’s good and what’s not there yet
- A proactive thinker who doesn’t wait for briefs to get inspired
- Someone who believes in their ideas and can rally people around them
- A team player who enjoys collaboration and brainstorming
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and shape the brand voice across all communication
- Lead copy decisions and ensure consistency across campaigns, content, and platforms
- Work closely with design, marketing, and strategy teams to crack ideas together
- Bring original, and culture-relevant ideas to the table, and push them through
- Think across formats. Social, static, video, retail, print, and know what works where
- Keep the work exciting, fresh, and never “just okay”
SALARY
Will depend on experience. Upto 12 LPA. Conveyance and mobile expenses covered by company.
