Using these, we deliver annual reports, sustainability reports, Integrated reports, corporate websites, rebrands, culture and EVPs as well as ESG frameworks and assistance in target setting and amplification. This is done by a diverse team of 130+ people, working chiefly across two studios – Mumbai and Kolkata. Role Overview:
We are looking for a Content Writer with strong business and sustainability communication skills. You should be able to convert complex information into clear, compelling, insight-led narratives across corporate reporting and strategic content formats. You will collaborate with senior client stakeholders, and Stirrup’s project managers and designers to deliver high impact content that strengthens client reputation, supports transparent performance storytelling, and aligns with global reporting and communication trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Writing and Editorial: Develop, write, edit, and proofread content for annual reports, sustainability or ESG reports, integrated reports, sector narratives, and related deliverables. Evaluate content and choose the most effective narrative approach including case studies, feature sections, infographic summaries, or visual storytelling formats. Research and Insights: Conduct desk research and interviews with subject matter experts and C-Suite executives. Review and extract insights from large or fragmented information sources and convert them into structured, compelling narratives. Monitor global reporting trends, evolving frameworks, regulatory expectations, and creative innovations to strengthen client work and internal thought leadership.
Analytical and Technical Understanding: Interpret financial and non-financial data with accuracy. Apply knowledge of investor communication and ESG frameworks to maintain consistency and compliance. Integrate financial communication or investor relations understanding to support effective stakeholder messaging.
Collaboration and Project Delivery: Work closely with design teams to align narrative and visual communication. Manage multiple reporting projects, timelines, priorities, and feedback cycles with discipline and structure. Support internal knowledge sharing and contribute to the agency’s content thinking and competitive positioning.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong capability in business writing and understanding of current developments in business, the economy, and capital markets. Ability to simplify complex information and synthesize large volumes into clear, accurate, well-structured narrative. Strong creative communication skills with the ability to tell performance stories with clarity and impact. Effective interviewing skills and confidence engaging with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders. Excellent organizational, time-management, and project-handling skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication abilities. ∙Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in high-intensity, time-bound environments, especially during reporting cycles. Self-directed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about learning and contributing to team thinking.
Qualifications and Experience:
7 to 10 years of experience into content writing & editorial role . Experience in corporate communications and annual reports will be a definite advantage. An MBA, CA, or equivalent degree in Mass Communications is welcome, but candidates with strong relevant skills may apply regardless of degree. Business journalists, editors, and individuals with report-writing experience in brokerages or research organizations are encouraged to apply.
