About Pixpa
Pixpa is the all-in-one website builder built for photographers, designers, artists, and creative professionals. Thousands of creators worldwide use Pixpa to run their portfolios, sell their work, and deliver client galleries — without writing a line of code. We're a profitable, bootstrapped SaaS company with customers in 100+ countries and a 4.7/5 rating across 585+ Capterra reviews.
We're hiring a Senior Content Writer who has already built their craft around AI — not despite it.
The role
This is not a "write more blog posts" role. We use Claude and other AI tools heavily across our content workflow. What we need is someone who has built their own writing process around AI — using it for speed and scaffolding, but keeping full ownership of voice, angle, and judgment.
You'll write across the full surface area of Pixpa's growth content: long-form editorial, commercial landing pages, email sequences, ad copy, customer stories. You'll also own the quality bar across everything that ships, including your own work.
You'll own:
- Comparison, alternatives, and ICP landing pages — Pixpa vs. Pixieset, Zenfolio, Format, SmugMug, Squarespace, Wix; "Best [competitor] alternatives" pages; "for wedding photographers / portrait photographers / artists / designers" pages.
- Email lifecycle copy — abandoned-signup recovery, trial nurture sequences, win-back, annual upgrade.
- Paid ads copy — Google, Meta, Bing. Ad copy, RSAs, retargeting variants, landing page alignment.
- Blog rewrites — taking our highest-traffic posts and giving them commercial intent, real photographer examples, and our actual point of view.
- Original work — content pieces built on first-hand data: customer interviews, surveys, teardowns, workflows we've actually used. The kind of post that earns links because it's the only one of its kind.
- Content audits — diagnosing what's broken on existing pages, deciding what to kill, consolidate, refresh, or rewrite.
- AI-tell elimination — every draft that ships, including your own AI-assisted ones, goes through your detector. You kill the em-dashes, the "tapestry of features", the hedge phrases, the listicle bloat, the perfectly balanced sentences that scream LLM.
- Editorial guidelines — the AI use policy, the voice doc, the fact-checking standard, the source requirements. Authored by you from your actual workflow.
- Editorial calendar — what gets published, when, why, and how it connects to a funnel stage.
- Cross-format collaboration — partnering with our YouTube creator on scripts and our SEO Lead on keyword targeting and on-page hygiene.
Who we're looking for
You're a senior writer who has already figured out how to work with AI as a drafting tool, not a threat. You've built real workflows around Claude, ChatGPT, or similar — for creation, editing, auditing, and quality control. You can move fast with AI and still ship work that sounds like a human with a point of view, because the point of view is yours.
You have hardcore, end-to-end experience using AI tools across the content lifecycle — drafting, editing, auditing, refreshing, repurposing, fact-checking. You've built prompt libraries, custom GPTs or Claude projects, content audit pipelines. You can show us the workflows you've actually shipped.
Specifically:
- 5+ years writing professionally, ideally including SaaS, B2B, or creative-industry content
- Strong writing voice — distinct, clear, opinionated. We can read your work and tell it's yours, not template output.
- Strong opinions about prompting, model selection, and where AI helps vs. where it ruins the work
- Sharp eye for AI tells in your own drafts and others'. You can mark up a draft in five minutes and explain why each flagged sentence sounds like a machine.
- Real fact-checker — you won't ship a draft that hallucinates a feature, misquotes a competitor, or invents a statistic
- SEO-literate, not SEO specialist — you understand keyword intent, internal linking, on-page hygiene, and you can hand off cleanly to our SEO Lead
- Comfortable interviewing customers and mining real examples — you don't generate detail from imagination, you find it
- Production-fluent — you'll publish live in our CMS, handle images and metadata, write your own meta descriptions, set up internal links
- Comfortable writing across formats — long-form editorial, landing page copy, ad copy, email sequences. You know each format demands a different muscle.
Big plus, not required:
- Photography, design, or creative industry background — you've shot weddings, sold prints, built portfolios, run a creative business, or written for one of the photography or design publications
- Experience at a creative SaaS company (Webflow, Canva, Buffer, Kit, Figma, etc.)
- You've built or led an AI-first content operation at scale
Logistics
- Full-time, fully remote. Work from anywhere.
- You bring your own hardware and workspace.
- We're a small team. You'll have direct access to the founder and real ownership over a function that matters.
To apply
Send the following to careers@pixpa.com with the subject line "Senior Content Writer — [Your Name]":
- A short note (no cover letter template, please) — what you want to own, and one thing you'd change about Pixpa's blog after a quick look at it
- Two pieces you've written that you're proud of, with a one-line explanation of what made them good
- An AI workflow you've actually built and shipped — describe the use case, the tools, the prompts or system, and the outcome. This is the most important part of your application.
- Your CV or LinkedIn
