Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and strategic Senior Content Writer to join our PR agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing for diverse formats, a deep understanding of media narratives, and the ability to craft compelling content that enhances brand reputation and drives engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop different content strategies aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
- Draft compelling authored articles, opinion pieces, advertorials, and listicles that resonate with thought leaders
- Write and proofread press releases, media quotes, and media responses for diverse clients
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
- Attending client meetings to understand their requirements and tailor content accordingly
- Edit, proofread and improve content drafts
- Liaise with other content writers to ensure brand consistency
- Manage content distribution to online channels
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attention
Required Skills
- 4 to 6 years’ experience in content writing, preferably within a PR agency or media environment
- Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
- Strong understanding of media formats and PR deliverables (press releases, op-eds, thought leadership articles, etc.)
- Knowledge of content management systems.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
