The Role

Are you a beauty enthusiast with a way with words? Do you know exactly how to describe a velvet-matte finish so vividly that people have to add it to their carts?

MALIAO Cosmetics is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Beauty Content Writer to be the voice of our brand. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our innovative product formulations and our community, crafting everything from compelling e-commerce product descriptions to engaging social media campaigns and physical packaging. You will also play a key role in developing the narrative for our newest, unreleased collections.

Key Responsibilities

Marketplace, E-Commerce & Packaging Copywriting:
Product Descriptions: Write sensory, accurate, and captivating product descriptions tailored specifically for our direct-to-consumer website and major online marketplaces (such as Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart,
Myntra).Short
& Long Descriptions for Listings: Craft highly optimized, scannable short descriptions (for quick reading) and comprehensive long descriptions (detailing ingredients, usage, and brand story) to maximize search visibility and customer trust on third-party platforms.Highl
ighting Key Benefits: Distill complex formulations and cosmetic claims into clear, punchy benefit statements and bullet points that quickly communicate value and drive conversions.Produ
ct Packaging Content: Craft concise, compliant, and engaging copy for physical product packaging (primary and secondary). This includes writing usage instructions, ingredient call-outs, compelling back-of-box brand stories, and insert leaflets, ensuring all text meets regulatory standards while maintaining a luxurious brand feel.

Brand & Campaign Content:
Campaign Conceptualization: Collaborate with the marketing team to write punchy taglines, ad copy, and campaign
scripts.Socia
l Media & Email: Craft trend-driven captions for Instagram and TikTok, alongside high-converting email newsletters and launch announcements.SEO &
Educational Content: Produce blog posts, skincare guides, and beauty tutorials that educate our audience and drive organic traffic.Produ
ct Naming & Launch Strategy: Work directly with the product development team to brainstorm catchy, market-ready names and stories for new cosmetics.

What We’re Looking For
Experience: 5+ years of copywriting or content creation experience, specifically within the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industry. Experience writing for major e-commerce marketplaces and physical packaging is highly p
referred.Indus
try Fluency: You have a deep understanding of makeup trends, skincare ingredients, and the language of modern beauty consumers.Adapt
ability: You can seamlessly shift from writing a snappy, Gen-Z-focused instagram caption to a detailed, SEO-driven Amazon listing or a precise packaging label.Atten
tion to Detail: Impeccable grammar, proofreading skills, and a sharp eye for maintaining a consistent brand voice while adhering to strict cosmetics advertising and packaging guidelines.
