This open position is for Armanino India LLP, which is located in India. Armanino India LLP is a fully owned subsidiary of Armanino (USA).
Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to support equity plan management, auditor, and participant needs, including reporting, reconciliation, and ongoing advisory support, with accountability for overall engagement delivery.
- Serve as the primary client contact for assigned engagements, assuming full ownership of client relationships and acting as the main point of escalation for equity-related matters.
- Lead equity system implementations and private-to-public conversions, including project planning, coordination, execution, and client communication.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, maintaining active communication to set expectations, manage scope and budgets, ensure deadlines are met, and drive change efforts effectively.
- Use and implement equity administration platforms on behalf of clients, including Carta, Shareworks, Certent, Fidelity, and Equity Edge Online, while overseeing data accuracy and system integrity.
- Support clients’ equity accounting data needs by partnering with FAAS professionals responsible for stock-based compensation reporting, valuations of warrants, award modifications, performance awards, tender offers, and EPS considerations.
- Review equity administration work prepared by seniors and managers, ensuring technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client and firm standards prior to delivery.
- Provide value-added recommendations to clients related to equity plan operations, controls, process improvement, and scalability.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding engagement progress, risks, and issues that may affect timelines, budgets, or quality.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through review feedback, coaching, and knowledge sharing, helping build depth and scalability within the equity practice.
- Demonstrate the drive to become a subject-matter expert in equity administration and contribute to the continued growth of this fast-growing area of the FAAS practice.
- Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis and stay current on evolving equity trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in equity administration or stock plan operations at a public company, pre-IPO company, or equity administration vendor.
- Demonstrated experience owning equity administration processes and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Completion of one or more levels of the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) program, with intent to complete certification.
- Hands-on experience with equity administration platforms such as Equity Edge Online, Shareworks, Carta, Certent, Fidelity, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical, technical, and detail-oriented skill set with the ability to review complex equity data and deliverables.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with clients, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- CPA and/or Certified Equity Professional (CEP) certification preferred.
- Experience working across multiple equity administration platforms (e.g., Equity Edge Online, Shareworks, Fidelity, Certent etc).
- Prior experience supporting audits, transactions, or IPO readiness efforts involving equity programs.
