Job Description
As a Senior Consultant in our AI - Delivery department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data engineering strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our data infrastructure, enabling us to derive valuable insights from our data assets. You will collaborate closely with our data science and analytics teams to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and architectures, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Implement data warehousing solutions, leveraging cloud platforms and big data technologies.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide efficient data access.
- Optimize data processing and storage, reducing costs and improving overall system efficiency.
- Ensure data security and privacy compliance, implementing robust access controls and encryption.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, proposing innovative solutions.
- Document and maintain data engineering processes and best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer.
- Work closely with project managers to estimate and plan data engineering tasks, ensuring timely delivery.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines.
- Expertise in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience with cloud-native data services.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles, with an understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and the ability to present complex data insights effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional team.
- A proactive and analytical mindset, with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning.
