About the role:
The UK/FR Reporting Consultant will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and delivering financial and regulatory reports in compliance with UK standards. This role requires strong expertise in IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory frameworks, along with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across finance, compliance, and operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS/FRS reporting standards.
- Support end-to-end financial reporting and statutory reporting activities for UK-based entities.
- Work on technical accounting areas with specific exposure to IFRS, FRS 101, FRS 102, and FRS 105.
- Assist in financial statement consolidation and group reporting, including data collation and analysis.
- Prepare reconciliations, disclosures, and working papers required for reporting and audit purposes.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of assigned reporting activities.
- Support senior team members and managers on client engagements and project deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams for data gathering, reporting requirements, and issue resolution.
- Streamline reporting processes, implement automation tools, and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A qualified CA/ACCA.
- 1-5 of post qualification years of relevant experience in Financial Reporting and Statutory Reporting.
- Good understanding of IFRS standards and financial statement preparation.
- Exposure to UK GAAP, Companies Act and statutory compliances is an added advantage.
- Basic to intermediate experience in consolidation and group reporting activities.
- Strong accounting fundamentals and technical aptitude.
- Exposure to working on UK-based reporting engagements would be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools/systems.
- Eagerness to learn and support senior stakeholders on technical client assignments.
