Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Concept Artist / Principal Artist with a deep understanding of visual development for games. This role requires strong artistic vision, exceptional rendering skills, and the ability to guide and mentor other artists.
You will be responsible for conceptualizing and producing high-quality art assets from early concept sketches to polished final renders while ensuring alignment with animation, VFX, and game design requirements. You will also be a key contributor in maintaining visual consistency, managing feedback loops, and supporting overall art direction.
Key Responsibilities:1. Concept Development & Final Art Production- Create high-quality concept art and fully rendered assets for slot reels, backgrounds, UI elements, pop-ups, splash screens, and other game visuals.
- Develop creative moodboards, visual explorations, and style frames for new game themes.
- Own the full art pipeline: concept → rough pass → color pass → final render.
- Maintain visual consistency across all assets and themes.
2. Leadership & Mentorship- Lead, mentor, and guide mid-level and junior artists in the art team.
- Provide detailed feedback, ensuring quality and efficiency in asset production.
- Support the Art Director by helping structure a scalable art workflow.
3. Cross-Department Collaboration- Work closely with Animation and VFX teams to ensure assets are produced with the correct technical specifications.
- Communicate requirements and constraints clearly for smooth downstream integration.
- Ensure VFX- and animation-friendly rendering methods and layered PSD structures are used.
4. Review & Quality Control- Participate in regular review cycles with the Art Director and Game Director.
- Address internal and external feedback efficiently and ensure timely iterations.
- Help define and uphold visual quality standards for the slot art pipeline.
5. Production Management & Delivery- Ensure all assigned assets are delivered on time, meeting quality expectations.
- Coordinate with the Game Artist for proper asset slicing, formatting, and delivery.
- Manage task priorities based on production timelines and dependencies.
- Contribute to risk mitigation by identifying visual or technical challenges early.
6. Communication- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to deliver cohesive, player-centric experiences.
- Represent the art function in client discussions and stakeholder reviews, articulating creative direction and visual rationale.
- Stay informed of industry trends, styles, and emerging technologies to guide innovation within the team.
Required Qualifications:- Master’s, Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in one of the following:
- Fine Arts
- Visual Communication
- Game Art
- Graphic Design
- Digital Media Art
- Or an equivalent discipline
- Proven expertise in creating high-quality concept art and rendered assets for games (slot games preferred).
- Strong foundational skills in:
- Anatomy
- Colour theory
- Composition
- Lighting
- Visual storytelling
- Excellent understanding of art production pipelines (concept → render → final asset prep).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor team members.
- Highly collaborative, able to bridge art, design, and engineering disciplines. Strategic thinker with a strong eye for detail and passion for visual storytelling.
- Ability to handle constructive feedback and rapidly iterate.
Art & Technical Skills- 15+ years of industry experience in gaming, animation, or entertainment art.
- Expert in concept art, illustration, digital painting, and stylized rendering.
- Strong sense of composition, colour theory, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suites and other equivalent industry-standard software.
- Deep understanding of art production for slot games (preferred).
Leadership & Communication- Experience mentoring and guiding art teams.
- Ability to give structured, actionable feedback.
- Strong communication skills for cross-team alignment.
- Ability to collaborate with technical departments (Animation, VFX, Game Design).

- Experience in designing artwork specifically prepared for Spine2D animation pipelines.
- Any prior hands-on experience with Spine2D is a plus.
- Experience leading small teams or specialized pods.
