Job Description and Responsibilities 

We are specifically looking for a hands-on software engineer/architect who can design and build cloud-native applications, drive AWS migration, and own the application architecture end-to-end.This is not a pure DevOps/SRE role.

Role Summary 

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Developer who has experience in planning and enhancing existing architecture to lead our transformation from an on-premise infrastructure to a scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environment. You will partner closely with engineering, DevOps, and our Product team to design, implement, and maintain our new cloud architecture, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance at every layer. This role requires hands-on ownership of the complete cloud lifecycle, including migration, architecture decisions, and post-migration optimization. You will be expected to independently drive architectural decisions and take full ownership of cloud outcomes, including performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

1. Key Responsibilities: 

● Design end-to-end cloud-native architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform ● Define tenant isolation strategies (shared vs. dedicated databases, containers, or VPCs) 

● Take ownership of key cloud architecture decisions with minimal supervision

● Understanding of shared database principles and scaling of the same. 

● Experience in porting/Designing multitier .NET applications using C#. 

● Experience in technologies like AWS Gateway, AWS APP Mesh etc 

● Establish scalable telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, S3)

 ● Plan the File storage scenarios and initiate the design for the same. 

● Drive implementation of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform/CloudFormation 

● Collaborate with agent developers to ensure secure and reliable connectivity from 1000s of endpoints per tenant 

● Implement autoscaling, load balancing, cost management, and failover strategies 

● Ensure security best practices across infrastructure — including encryption, IAM, KMS, network policies, and tenant access controls 

● Evaluate and select the right combination of containers (Kubernetes), serverless, and VM based approaches 

● Guide the DevOps team in setting up monitoring, alerting, and SRE practices ● Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development and devops team members ● Drive new cloud features and improvements from our Product roadmap

2. Required Skills & Experience: 

Cloud Platforms: 

● Experience in Porting On-Premise to SAAS  

● Proven experience in leading or owning cloud migration initiatives (not limited to execution), including planning, decision-making, and post-migration optimization

● Deep experience in AWS 

● Familiarity with key services: EC2, VPC, EKS/ECS, ELB, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Route53, Cognito etc. 

Infrastructure & DevOps: 

● IaC: Terraform / Pulumi / CloudFormation 

● Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm 

● CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc. 

Security: 

● TLS everywhere, Zero Trust principles 

● Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance 

● Network segmentation, firewall policies, encryption, RBAC/ABAC 

Communication & Data Processing: 

● WebSocket/MQTT communication patterns 

● Kafka, Kinesis, Redis Streams, or similar real-time ingestion systems 

Scalability & Reliability: 

● Experience building platforms with large number of connected clients (100000+) ● Load balancing, autoscaling, multi-region failover, rate limiting, etc. 

Good to Have: 

● Experience working with teams in multiple time zones 

● Prior experience working in endpoint security / agent-based SaaS products (like Teramind, CrowdStrike, etc.) 

● Exposure to data lake, big data processing, or machine learning pipelines ● Familiarity with multi-region or hybrid deployments 

● Understanding of client server architecture. 

● Understanding of process for custom package preparations and deployment through corresponding URLs (S3)

This role is best suited for candidates who have previously driven cloud initiatives end-to-end, rather than working only as part of a larger team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Has worked as a backend or platform engineer, not purely DevOps
• Has owned architecture decisions, not just implemented pipelines
• Has led or significantly contributed to application-level cloud migration
• Comfortable writing production-grade code in .NET/C#
• Understands infra, but is not limited to infra,

 This is not a DevOps-only position. While working knowledge of DevOps practices is required, it is limited to a supporting role within the overall responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is a software engineer with strong coding expertise and proven experience in end-to-end AWS migration, including execution, architectural decision-making, and ownership.

Candidates whose experience is limited to DevOps/SRE (CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring) without hands-on backend development experience will not be a fit for this role.
