Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Civil Engineer located in Lucknow. The Senior Civil Engineer will oversee civil engineering design and planning, manage stormwater systems, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations. Responsibilities include supervising project execution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high engineering standards.
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to take complete ownership of site operations and the full billing cycle on our projects. This is a hands-on, independent role not an assistance position.
SITE MANAGEMENT
• Lead end-to-end site execution for civil, structural, and finishing works
• Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly work programmes
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour contractors, and material vendors
• Conduct quality checks as per approved drawings and IS codes
• Enforce HSE protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain daily site reports, MIS, and photographic documentation
• Liaise with PMC, consultants, and client representatives
BILLING & CONTRACTS
• Prepare and submit Running Account (RA) bills as per contract BOQ
• Record work-done quantities using standard measurement books
• Coordinate with client/consultant for bill certification and recoveries
• Prepare abstract bills, final completion bills, and deviation statements
• Track retention money, advances, deductions, and payment status
• Prepare subcontractor bills and back-to-back reconciliation
• Conduct rate analysis for extra and non-schedule items
• Reconcile material consumption against billed quantities
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of MS Project or Primavera
• Strong command of IS codes and CPWD/State DSR schedules
• Experience with ERP or project billing software
• Excellent client-facing communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously
• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.Tech preferred)
• 8–12 years of relevant construction experience
• Minimum 3 years as Site Incharge with direct billing responsibility
• Prior exposure to government/CPWD contracts is a plus
