Role Description The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading civil design, planning, and execution of renewable energy projects at the Jalna site in a full-time, on-site capacity. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs for solar and other renewable installations, overseeing site layouts, grading plans, and stormwater management systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with project managers, structural and electrical engineers, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. The Senior Civil Engineer will conduct site assessments, supervise civil construction activities, and manage quality control, safety, and documentation for all civil works. This position also requires mentoring junior engineers, optimizing designs for cost and performance, and supporting bid preparations with technical inputs.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering with proven experience in Civil Engineering Design and application of engineering principles to infrastructure or energy projects.
- Experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams of Civil Engineers, with the ability to lead, coordinate, and mentor engineering staff.
- Demonstrated capability in project Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination for large-scale construction or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge and practical experience in Stormwater Management, site drainage, and hydrology, including design of related systems for industrial or energy facilities.
- Professional degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred) from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD or equivalent) and familiarity with Indian standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with solar or other renewable energy projects, particularly utility-scale or C&I installations, is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Jalna.
