Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Civil Engineer role based in Kolkata. The Senior Civil Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil works associated with real estate and infrastructure projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing civil and structural designs, coordinating stormwater management and drainage solutions, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves supervising junior engineers and site teams, managing project schedules and resources, and liaising with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues. The Senior Civil Engineer will also monitor construction quality, support cost estimation, and prepare technical reports and documentation for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering foundations: strong knowledge of Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, including structural and infrastructure components.
- Professional practice: experience leading teams of Civil Engineers and managing multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Project planning: demonstrated skills in Planning, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and construction sequencing.
- Water and drainage systems: expertise in Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related urban infrastructure solutions.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s degree or relevant specialization is an advantage.
- Experience: several years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering for real estate or infrastructure projects.
- Technical skills: proficiency with relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, Civil 3D or similar), and familiarity with local building codes and standards.
- Competencies: strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and capability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Regulatory and safety awareness: understanding of construction safety practices and regulatory approval processes.
