Role Description The Senior Chemist – Packing Material role is a full-time, on-site position based in Haridwar. The role involves overseeing the evaluation and approval of packaging materials to ensure they meet chemical compatibility, safety, and quality standards for cosmetic and related products. Daily tasks include conducting laboratory tests on packaging components, analyzing results, documenting findings, and maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory and internal requirements. The Senior Chemist collaborates with production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to resolve packaging-related issues, optimize material performance, and support new product development. This position also involves establishing and updating testing protocols, training team members on packing material specifications, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the materials and quality function.
Qualifications
- Strong background in chemistry or materials science, with experience in testing and evaluating packing or packaging materials.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, laboratory practices, and relevant safety and regulatory standards for industrial or cosmetic products.
- Ability to analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably in cosmetics, chemicals, mining, or metals sectors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple testing and evaluation tasks simultaneously.
- Capability to work on-site in Haridwar and collaborate effectively with colleagues at different levels of the organization.
