Role Description The Senior Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Senior Chemist will lead laboratory activities related to the analysis, testing, and characterization of minerals, metals, and related materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, performing chemical and instrumental analyses, validating test methods, and maintaining accurate laboratory records. The role involves overseeing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations, and troubleshooting analytical issues. The Senior Chemist will collaborate with production and R&D teams to support process optimization, product development, and technical problem-solving, while mentoring junior staff and promoting safe laboratory practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills and hands-on experience with chemical analysis and instrumentation.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control expertise, including method validation, documentation, and compliance with industry standards.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, troubleshooting results, and supporting decision-making.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) and Research capabilities to design experiments, develop new methods, and improve existing processes.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field; experience in mining, metals, or materials science is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, chemical handling, and environmental regulations in industrial laboratory settings.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally, and experience mentoring or supervising laboratory staff.
- Proficiency with laboratory software, data analysis tools, and standard office applications is beneficial.
