Role purpose The Sr. Change Analyst is to act as a point of engagement on a daily basis for the various IT teams. This role will assist the Change Managers with the reviewing, evaluating, assessing, approving and scheduling of all IT changes. The Change Analyst will also be responsible for the creation of weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting metrics and perform statistical/trend analysis on all change data.
S/He will convene and chair the change advisory board (CAB) and emergency change and will make informed decisions about the changes, prioritizing and approving them, or rejecting them to minimize the impact of IT changes on the production environment and day to day business operations.
As part of BAU, the Change Analyst will work with a variety of stakeholders, both within technology and the business units. S/He or she must have a good understanding of the business’ needs and goals to help prioritize the changes that will have the biggest impact on the business.
The Change Analyst will work closely with the incident and problem manager to coordinate for the failed changes and plan actions on failed changes.
- Be a main point of contact for change communication ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of the high level planning, scheduling coordination and communication of changes.
- Assist with the reviewing and approving of IT changes to ensure a smooth transition to production.
- Assist in the management of change scheduling to ensure any potential conflicts are management and mitigated.
- Create and present all weekly, monthly, and quarterly change reporting statistics to ensure the senior leadership teams are informed on the performance of IT change across all environments.
- Champion process improvements to ensure the continuous improvement of change management.
- Support Change Manager roles during peak periods and annual leave.
- Create and distribute the Change Advisory Board (CAB) weekly agenda.
- Record and distribute minutes from the weekly CAB.
- Create and maintain training procedures for change management.
- Update Forward Schedule of Change
- Attend meetings where required.

Governance & Risk - Ensure the processes are in line with the ITIL process
- Ensure all documentation is correct from audit perspective

Experience & Personal Attributes - Minimum 10 years of work experience
- Minimum of 5 years IT Change Control experience in a multi-platform environment
- A solid understanding of ITIL change process.
- Strong Experience in change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent active listening skills, well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

- Experience in and knowledge of network and server infrastructure architecture and components
- Experience in network and operating system software installation and configuration
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Ability to present to professional peers and work closely with all levels of Management.
- Understanding in the areas of Superannuation and or financial systems is preferable
- ITIL knowledge is must and ITIL Certification is preferable.
