About the role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior CAD Technician (OHL) to support the design and execution of overhead transmission line projects up to 400 kV.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare PLS-CADD plan and profile drawings, layouts, route maps, and detailed construction drawings
- Develop 3D wire and clearance models, 3D insulator models, and perform scaffold clearance checks
- Interpret project team and client mark-ups and ensure all drawings are accurate, constructible, and compliant with project standards and requirements
- Work closely with engineers and actively contribute to technical discussions, reviews, and coordination meetings
Skills & Experience Expected:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of CAD experience, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and PLS-CADD
- Proven hands-on experience in overhead transmission line (OHL) design and drafting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
