About the Role
Sunita Shekhawat Jaipur is looking for a highly skilled Senior CAD Designer – Jewellery to join our Design & Product Development team.
This is a technical-creative role focused on 3D-first jewellery modelling, sculpting, and production-ready CAD output. The ideal candidate must have advanced expertise in Rhino 3D and strong proficiency in Blender and/or ZBrush.
The role requires someone who can translate design concepts into complex, accurate, and production-ready 3D models for fine jewellery, fashion jewellery, and bespoke client commissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create end-to-end 3D jewellery models from design briefs to production-ready CAD files
- Work with Rhino 3D at an advanced level for complex jewellery modelling
- Build organic forms, intricate settings, surface detailing, and sculptural design elements
- Use Blender and/or ZBrush for figurative, decorative, and highly detailed jewellery forms
- Prepare photorealistic renders for client approvals, presentations, and internal reviews
- Ensure CAD models are accurate for casting, stone setting, manufacturing, and production tolerances
- Collaborate with the design team to convert sketches, references, and mood boards into 3D models
- Work closely with production, sampling, and stone-setting teams to resolve technical issues before manufacturing
- Manage revisions efficiently and maintain a structured file library
- Support junior designers or CAD team members with technical guidance when required
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of professional CAD design experience in jewellery or luxury accessories
- Advanced expertise in Rhino 3D
- Proficiency in Blender and/or ZBrush
- Working knowledge of rendering tools such as KeyShot, V-Ray, or Cycles
- Strong understanding of jewellery construction, settings, findings, casting methods, and gemstone proportions
- Ability to create complex 3D jewellery models, not just basic CAD layouts
- Portfolio must show strong 3D jewellery work, including complex forms, detailed settings, and production-ready files
- Basic knowledge of CorelDRAW or Illustrator is desirable but not mandatory
- Degree or diploma in Jewellery Design, Product Design, or a related field is preferred but not essential if the portfolio is strong
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, technically strong, and creatively aware. The candidate should be able to work across multiple projects, communicate design decisions clearly, and identify manufacturing challenges at the CAD stage itself.
This role is best suited for someone who understands that a Senior CAD Designer is judged by the quality, accuracy, and complexity of their 3D output.
