Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer with strong expertise in C++ development, object-oriented design, hardware interfacing, and instrumentation control.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and maintaining software that interfaces with hardware, instruments, and external devices. Experience in life sciences, laboratory, diagnostic, analytical, medical device, or scientific instrumentation environments will be highly relevant.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using C++.
• Develop software for instrument control, device communication, and hardware integration.
• Implement and maintain reliable interfaces between software and hardware/instrumentation systems.
• Work with instrumentation control, power supply interfaces, and related hardware communication systems.
• Analyze technical requirements and contribute to software architecture and design decisions.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex software and hardware-interface issues.
• Optimize software for performance, reliability, stability, and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and participate in software verification and quality activities.
• Conduct code reviews and follow established software development and coding standards.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, QA, and other cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support product development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6–8 years of professional experience in C++ software development.
• Strong knowledge of C++ and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Strong understanding of software design and architecture.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in hardware interfacing and hardware integration.
• Experience developing software for instrument control and device communication.
• Experience working with instrumentation-related interfaces and systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with software performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and software quality practices.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
Industry / Domain Experience
Experience in one or more of the following domains will be preferred:
