About the Company
We are looking for an experienced Buyer/Senior Buyer from the EMS industry to manage end-to-end procurement activities for electronic components, mechanical parts, and production materials. The ideal candidate should have strong sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and material planning skills to ensure uninterrupted production while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Buyer/Senior Buyer from the EMS industry to manage end-to-end procurement activities for electronic components, mechanical parts, and production materials. The ideal candidate should have strong sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and material planning skills to ensure uninterrupted production while achieving cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Responsibilities
- Procure electronic components, mechanical parts, plastics, sheet metal, cables, PCBs, and other production materials.
- Handle RFQs, supplier quotations, price negotiations, and commercial finalization.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order confirmations.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time material delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Source alternate suppliers for cost reduction and supply risk mitigation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Planning, Stores, and Production teams.
- Ensure material availability as per production schedules.
- Analyze supplier performance based on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service (QCD).
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through supplier identification and material sourcing.
- Participate in supplier audits, vendor development, and qualification activities.
- Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, shortages, and delivery delays.
- Maintain procurement records and update ERP/MRP systems.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ISO standards.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost-saving initiatives, and MIS reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Production) or Graduation with relevant procurement experience.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations is an added advantage.
