About the company
Imagine building the AI layer that sits between Wall Street’s smartest investors and the massive amount of information they need to process every day.
This is an early-stage, high-growth AI startup building AI agents for institutional investors — helping hedge funds, mutual funds and investment teams automate equity research, analyse earnings, track investment theses and uncover insights that would otherwise take analysts hours to find.
The founding team brings together deep Wall Street experience and strong technical talent, with the product already being used by sophisticated investment professionals in the US.
They’ve recently raised $8M in Series A funding and are at an exciting inflection point — a ~25-person team, strong product-market validation and a huge opportunity to build the category from the ground up.
What makes this particularly interesting is that you're not joining a company where the playbook already exists. You'd be joining at the stage where the product, GTM engine and culture are still being shaped — and where individual hires can have an outsized impact.
It's a rare intersection of AI × FinTech × Wall Street, with the ambition to fundamentally change how investment research gets done.
The Role
As a Senior BDR – US, you’ll be one of the key people responsible for creating pipeline in the US market.
This is not a traditional high-volume BDR role. You’ll be expected to understand our ICP, identify high-value accounts, build relationships with senior investment professionals and create meaningful conversations around how AI can transform investment research.
You’ll work closely with US sales leadership and AEs, while having significant ownership over your territory, accounts and outbound strategy.
What You'll Do
- Own outbound prospecting across the US market
- Build and execute account-based outbound strategies across target hedge funds, asset managers and investment firms
- Identify and engage senior stakeholders including Portfolio Managers, Investment Analysts, Heads of Research, CIOs and other investment leaders
- Conduct personalised outreach through cold calls, email, LinkedIn and multi-channel sequences
- Research accounts deeply enough to develop relevant, insight-led messaging
- Qualify prospects and identify genuine business pain, use cases and buying signals
- Consistently generate high-quality meetings and qualified pipeline for the AE team
- Partner with AEs on account strategy, opportunity development and follow-ups
- Experiment with messaging, channels and prospecting strategies to improve conversion
- Share market feedback and customer insights with Sales, Marketing and Product
- Maintain strong CRM hygiene and accurately track activity, meetings and pipeline
- Help establish the playbook for US outbound as the company scales
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of B2B SaaS / technology sales experience
- Strong track record of US outbound prospecting
- Experience consistently exceeding BDR/SDR targets
- Comfortable selling into senior stakeholders and navigating complex organisations
- Excellent cold calling, email and objection-handling skills
- Strong research and account-mapping abilities
- Ability to understand complex products and translate them into clear business value
- Highly self-driven with strong ownership and accountability
- Comfortable operating without a fully defined playbook
- Strong commercial curiosity and a consultative approach to prospecting
Strong Plus
- Experience selling into hedge funds, asset managers, PE/VC firms or financial institutions
- Experience in AI, FinTech, financial data or B2B SaaS
- Experience selling complex/technical products to enterprise customers
- Existing network or understanding of the US financial services ecosystem
- Experience with account-based prospecting and personalised outbound
- Previous experience working in an early-stage startup
