Role Summary
The Senior Business Development Manager will own new business acquisition and revenue growth targets for Targetorate in India. The role is focused on generating and converting B2B leads through outbound, relationship-driven selling (LinkedIn, market research, cold calling, networking).
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end business development: prospecting, qualification, solution pitching, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Generate leads via cold calling, personalized email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, events, and market research.
- Identify and research target accounts, industries, and decision-makers (CXO, founders, business heads) in the Indian market.
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline; manage multiple opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Perform client need/pain-point analysis and design relevant solution pitches with pre-sales - aligned to Targetorate’s GTM, marketing, and demand gen offerings.
- Conduct high-quality discovery calls/meetings and drive consultative, solution-based conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and commercial offers; lead negotiations and close profitable deals.
- Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene: log activities, update deal stages, and provide accurate forecasts and activity reports.
- Collaborate with delivery/consulting teams to ensure smooth handover and high-quality client onboarding.
Job Requirements
- 7 to 8 years of proven experience in B2B sales/business development in India, preferably in agencies, consulting, or B2B tech/marketing services.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and new-logo targets through outbound efforts.
- Strong experience in:
- Cold calling and structured outbound prospecting.
- LinkedIn-based research and outreach (Sales Navigator or similar).
- Email and phone-based consultative selling to CXO/leadership.
- Solid understanding of the enterprise/B2B sales cycle, buying committees, and long-cycle, multi-threaded deals.
- Comfortable selling solutions/services (not just products) and positioning as a strategic growth partner.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of marketing/GTM concepts is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High ownership mindset: self-starter, target-driven, and comfortable working with limited marketing support and no paid campaigns.
- Ability to work from office in Hyderabad.
