Role OverviewThis is a pure hunting role. You will identify, prospect, pitch, and close new enterprise accounts for Think Exam's corporate assessment suite. Your primary focus sectors are Pharma, Healthcare, and BFSI. You report to the GM — Strategic Sales and work closely with the CRO on large strategic deals.
What You Will DoNew Business Development- Own the full sales cycle — prospecting, cold outreach, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation, closure
- Build and maintain a pipeline worth at least 3x your quarterly target at all times
- Reach CHRO, VP-HR, TA Head, and L&D Head decision-makers at target companies via LinkedIn, email, and phone
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations of Think Exam's assessment and proctoring platform
- Write compelling proposals with clear ROI articulation for each client's specific need
Focus Sectors & Target Accounts- Primary sectors: Pharma & Life Sciences, Healthcare, BFSI & Insurance
- Priority 1 targets: Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Bajaj Finserv, Apollo Hospitals, HDFC Life, Max Healthcare
- Priority 2 targets: Lupin Pharmaceuticals, PNB MetLife, Medanta Hospitals, Cipla, Shriram Finance
- Also responsible for upsell conversations on existing Tier 1 accounts in your sector focus
Pipeline & Reporting- Log every interaction and deal stage update in CRM within 24 hours — non-negotiable
- Submit weekly pipeline report every Friday by 5 PM
- Flag deals at risk immediately — never surprise the team at quarter end
What We Are Looking For- 4–6 years in B2B outbound sales; minimum 2 years in HRTech, EdTech, SaaS, or Assessment
- Track record of independently closing deals in the Rs. 3L–20L range
- Experience selling to HR, TA, or L&D decision-makers in Indian corporates
- Working knowledge of corporate hiring processes — understands what a TA Head or HR Manager is trying to solve and can pitch assessment solutions against those specific pain points
- Familiarity with psychometric assessments — knows the difference between a personality profile, a cognitive ability test, and an aptitude test; can answer common prospect questions without always escalating to product team
- Prior exposure to assessment or HRTech platforms — e.g., Mercer Mettl, MeritTrac, iMocha, or similar; does not need to be an expert, but must be able to hold a credible conversation
- Strong LinkedIn prospecting and cold outreach — can build a pipeline from zero
- Excellent written communication — proposals and emails must be crisp and persuasive
- Hunter mentality: energised by finding and closing new accounts
- CRM disciplined — Zoho CRM or HubSpot experience preferred
