Job Description
The role focuses on driving business value through data by delivering meaningful insights, enabling informed decision-making and improving organizational performance. This position bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions by leveraging data to uncover opportunities, solve complex problems and support strategic initiatives.
The role requires a combination of analytical expertise, business acumen and technical proficiency to interpret data, identify trends and influence outcomes. The Senior business Data Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that data is effectively utilized to optimize processes, enhance reporting capabilities and support enterprise objectives.
This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to contribute to the continuous evolution of data practices, tools and standards within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conducts complex analysis on large, multi-source datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Designs, develops, and maintains dashboards, reports, and scorecards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Extracts, transforms, and validates data from multiple sources including SQL databases and enterprise systems.
- Applies advanced statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing and trend analysis.
- Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through validation and quality controls.
- Translates analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Defines and documents metrics, KPIs, analytical assumptions, and methodologies.
- Identifies and implements reporting automation and process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and success measures.
- Provides guidance and informal mentorship to junior analysts.
- Adheres to organizational data governance, security standards, and code of conduct.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, , Finance, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in data analysis or business analytics roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments preferred.
