About NexaQuanta
NexaQuanta is a technology consulting and delivery partner that helps regulated financial services firms modernise their platforms, data, and operating models. We pair UK and EU domain experts with senior engineering and analysis teams in South Asia to deliver outcomes that meet the bar of FCA-regulated environments.
The Opportunity
You will join NexaQuanta as a Senior Business Analyst supporting one of our financial services engagements. You will translate the needs of advisers, paraplanners, operations, and compliance teams into clear, well-structured requirements that engineering teams can build against. This is a high-ownership role for someone who has lived inside fintech and wealth platforms and can move comfortably between FCA-aligned compliance detail and pragmatic product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery with stakeholders and end users to understand workflows, pain points, and regulatory drivers.
- Elicit, analyse, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows across modules such as client onboarding, fact-find, suitability, fees and commission reconciliation, provider feeds, and reporting.
- Translate complex wealth-management concepts — platforms, wrappers, model portfolios, charges, MiFID II / Consumer Duty obligations — into clear specifications for engineers.
- Map and re-engineer existing adviser-firm processes (onboarding, annual reviews, suitability, ongoing servicing) to identify automation opportunities.
- Run requirements workshops, demos, and UAT sessions with UK-based stakeholders; produce minutes, decisions, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain a clean, prioritised backlog in collaboration with Product and Engineering; support sprint planning, refinement, and release readiness.
- Define and document API contracts and data flows in conjunction with engineering, particularly for provider feeds and third-party integrations (e.g. wrap platforms, risk-profilers, cashflow tools).
- Support data-migration analysis for firms moving from legacy systems (Intelliflo, Curo, Adviser Office, True Potential, etc.) onto modern platforms.
- Champion compliance and audit-trail requirements in every requirement set, ensuring FCA-aligned behaviours are baked in.
- Mentor junior analysts within the delivery pod and uphold quality standards across documentation and ceremonies.
Essential Experience
- 6–10 years as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or equivalent, with at least 3 years inside fintech and/or wealth management.
- Direct experience with one or more of: financial-adviser CRMs, wealth platforms, wrap platforms, robo-advice, portfolio management systems, or core fintech back-office products.
- Strong working knowledge of UK wealth-management workflows: client onboarding, fact-finding, KYC/AML, suitability, ongoing reviews, fees, commissions, and reporting.
- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape that shapes adviser tech — FCA Handbook (COBS, SYSC), MiFID II, Consumer Duty, GDPR — at a level sufficient to write compliant requirements.
- Demonstrable experience writing high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, BPMN/process flows, and functional specifications for engineering teams.
- Comfortable reading and reasoning about REST APIs, JSON payloads, and data models; able to define integration requirements without hand-holding.
- Hands-on with Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban), Jira, Confluence, Figma, and modern collaboration tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English; able to run workshops with UK stakeholders confidently.
Desirable
- Prior experience working with UK or EU clients on outsourced or offshore delivery models.
- Exposure to integrations with UK platforms (e.g. Transact, Aviva, Quilter, AJ Bell, Fidelity, Aegon) or planning tools (Voyant, CashCalc, Dynamic Planner, FinaMetrica).
- Experience with data migration from legacy adviser-tech systems.
- SQL proficiency for ad-hoc data investigation.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, IIBA-AAC, CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC), or CFA Level I.
- Experience contributing to product discovery and shaping roadmap, not just delivering pre-defined tickets.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits
- Direct exposure to UK product leadership and end users — not a back-of-the-queue offshore role.
- Investment in certifications and continued learning relevant to fintech and wealth management.
- A clear path to widen scope into product ownership or lead-BA responsibilities as the engagement grows.
