Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst with experience in Life Insurance applications. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of overall experience, including 4+ years in US-based Life Insurance projects, and strong expertise in Agile delivery environments and digital insurance platforms.
The role focuses on ensuring that technology solutions align with business strategy, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirements Elicitation & Documentation
Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to gather and analyze business requirements
Define detailed requirements including user stories, use cases, and process flows
Prepare BRDs (Business Requirements Documents) and functional specifications for enhancements and new product launches
2. Process Analysis & Improvement
Analyze current life insurance processes such as:
Policy Administration
Claims Processing
Underwriting
New Business
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities
Design future-state business processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance customer experience
3. Solution Design & Collaboration
Act as the liaison between business teams and IT development teams
Translate business requirements into functional/technical solutions
Provide guidance on business impact of design decisions
Collaborate closely with technical teams throughout the SDLC
4. Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria
Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Validate that solutions meet business requirements and function correctly within life insurance systems
5. Stakeholder Management
Manage and prioritize competing stakeholder requirements
Provide regular project updates, status reports, and business impact analysis
Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and delivery goals
Must-Have Skills
7+ years of Business Analyst experience
4+ years of experience in Life Insurance projects
Strong experience in:
Requirement gathering
Stakeholder workshops
BRD/FRD documentation
User stories and process flows
Strong domain knowledge in:
Policy Administration
Claims
Underwriting
New Business
Experience in process improvement, gap analysis, and automation
Ability to translate business needs into functional solutions
Hands-on experience in UAT and test case preparation
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models
