About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior BSS Application Manager / Senior Technical Lead to manage and support mission-critical Business Support System (BSS) applications. The candidate will be responsible for application operations, database management, customer coordination, team leadership, reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement of the BSS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management and support of BSS applications in a production environment.
- Manage application performance, availability, and adherence to SLA commitments.
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex MySQL database queries and procedures.
- Oversee application enhancements and deployments using Node.js and Angular technologies.
- Interact directly with customers, understand business requirements, and provide technical solutions.
- Lead a team of developers, database administrators, and support engineers.
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, business analytics, and management presentations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders for issue resolution and project execution.
- Ensure compliance with change management, release management, and operational processes.
- Mentor junior team members and establish best practices for application support.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Application Support, Software Development, or BSS/OSS Operations.
- Strong expertise in MySQL Database Administration, Query Optimization, Stored Procedures, and Performance Tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and Angular frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SQL query development, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise or telecom applications.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Experience in customer handling, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- Telecom BSS/OSS Systems.
- CRM, Billing, Customer Lifecycle Management, Provisioning, and Service Assurance platforms.
- API integrations, Linux environments, and cloud-based deployments.
- Experience working with Government, Telecom, ISP, or Broadband projects.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science, IT, or related discipline).
