About the Role We are seeking a Senior Biostatistician to lead statistical efforts on projects involving genomics and omics data. You will be responsible for designing analyses, developing models, and ensuring the integrity and clarity of statistical outputs across both research and product initiatives.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead statistical strategy and analysis execution for genomics and multi-omics programs
- Design and review analysis plans, models, and workflows to ensure scientific rigor and reproducibility
- Apply and guide the use of classical statistical methods and select machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, tree-based models, clustering) to analyze complex biological data and extract interpretable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate statistical methods into research and product development
- Communicate results through clear documentation, visualizations, and presentations tailored to scientific and non-technical audiences
- Maintain clean, reproducible codebases in R, Python.
- Mentor junior statisticians and contribute to team wide best practices in analysis and modeling
Your Profile
- PhD or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience applying statistical methods biological or omics data
- Demonstrated ability to lead statistical analyses in research or product settings
- Proficient in R and/or Python, with strong hands-on skills in statistical modeling and data exploration.
- Solid foundation in statistical techniques and familiarity with machine learning methods
- Effective communicator, able to translate complex results for technical and nontechnical audiences
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Experience in a biotech, pharma, or clinical genomics environment.
