Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior BIM Modelling Engineer to join our design and engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of specialized experience in BIM modeling using Solidworks and Autodesk Revit leading the modeling and coordination of either Building Architecture, Electrical systems (including HVAC integration), or Plumbing networks.
A critical requirement for this role is a proven track record of delivering highly complex projects that have undergone rigorous design validation for ISO 19650 compliance. Additionally, candidates must have experience meeting the exacting standards dictated by elite international developers, such as Emaar (developers of the Burj Khalifa).
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced BIM Modeling: Develop, manage, and maintain highly accurate 3D BIM models (LOD 300 to LOD 500) for Architectural, Electrical/HVAC, or Plumbing/Sanitary systems using Autodesk Revit and SolidWorks.
- ISO 19650 & Quality Validation: Ensure all design models, data drops, and output documentation strictly adhere to ISO 19650 information management frameworks and premium client protocols (e.g., Emaar standards).
- Clash Detection & Resolution: Conduct spatial coordination and clash detection using Navisworks (or similar tools) to resolve multidisciplinary conflicts prior to construction.
- Documentation & Detailing: Extract accurate 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) directly from the BIM models in compliant formats.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with lead architects, MEP engineers, structural teams, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of all building systems within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Project Delivery: Drive the delivery of BIM projects from concept design through to the construction documentation phase, ensuring timelines, quality benchmarks, and compliance audits are consistently met.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior BIM modelers and draftsmen, ensuring team-wide compliance with established BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: 7+ years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in BIM modeling within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and SolidWorks.
- Domain Expertise: Deep technical knowledge in at least one of the following specializations:
- Building Architecture Design
- Electrical Systems (inclusive of HVAC integration and coordination)
- Plumbing / Sanitary Systems
- ISO 19650 Proven Delivery (Mandatory): Must have a portfolio of past delivered projects that successfully underwent formal validation and auditing for ISO 19650 compliances in their design and information management phases.
- Elite Project Validation: Proven experience delivering large-scale projects validated against the stringent quality, safety, and operational standards of top-tier global builders (e.g., Emaar, Nakheel, or equivalent tier-1 developers).
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of the complete lifecycle of a BIM project, including the creation and implementation of a BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP).
- Experience managing and navigating a Common Data Environment (CDE) such as BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience with Autodesk Navisworks and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical compliance issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
