Role SummaryThe Senior Technical Lead – Billing will be responsible for the technical leadership, architecture, integration, and operational integrity of Bayobab’s wholesale billing environment. The role will oversee high-volume billing platforms covering Voice, SMS, Data, Signaling, RBM, RMS, and Value-Added Services, ensuring accurate rating, charging, invoicing, settlement, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical design and architecture of wholesale billing solutions.
- Manage billing integrations with Network, Mediation, Finance, Revenue Assurance, EVA, and external partners.
- Ensure accurate rating, charging, discounting, taxation, invoicing, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Work with CDR/XDR ingestion, validation, enrichment, and error handling.
- Design and manage integrations using APIs, file interfaces, message queues, and streaming pipelines.
- Ensure scalability, performance, security, resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Implement technical controls to improve billing accuracy and reduce revenue leakage and disputes.
- Lead release management, deployment, rollback, and production support activities.
- Drive automation of billing runs, validations, reconciliations, and exception handling.
- Provide technical leadership to internal teams and vendors.
- Follow Agile, Project Management, and DevOps practices.
Must-Have Skills- Strong experience in Telecom Wholesale Billing.
- Expertise in Voice, SMS, Data, Signaling, and Value-Added Services billing.
- Strong knowledge of Rating, Charging, Invoicing, Settlement, and Reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with Mediation and CDR/XDR processing.
- Strong API, integration, messaging, and streaming experience.
- Experience with high-volume billing environments.
- Strong understanding of performance, security, scalability, DR, and business continuity.
- Experience in billing automation and Revenue Assurance.
- Agile, DevOps, and Project Management experience.
Good to Have- Relevant Technology / Telecom certifications.
