Job Title:
Senior Backend Engineer (3+ Years Experience)
Location:
On-site – Visakhapatnam (First 3 Months)
Then – Bengaluru (Scaling Phase)
About Us:
We are building a video platform focused on short-form content, uploads, and live streaming.
This is an early-stage product being built from scratch. The focus is on creating systems that can evolve from zero to high-scale usage without constant rewrites.
Role Overview:
You will handle both backend development and infrastructure decisions in the early stage. The goal is to build a strong technical foundation before roles are specialized.
If you prefer clearly defined boundaries (only backend or only DevOps), this role will not be a fit.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Build backend services using Node.js (APIs, core logic, system design)
- Design architecture that can scale with user growth
- Set up and manage AWS infrastructure
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
- Build video upload and processing pipelines
- Work with databases, caching, and performance optimization
- Make practical trade-offs between speed, scalability, and cost
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–6 years of backend experience
- Strong Node.js and API development skills
- Working knowledge of AWS (S3, EC2, CloudFront, Lambda)
- Experience with CI/CD and deployments
- Understanding of system behavior under scale
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
Tech Stack Direction:
- Node.js (Express.js)
- AWS (S3, EC2, CloudFront, Lambda)
- SQL / NoSQL databases
- Redis / caching
- Docker
Good to Have (Not Required):
- Experience with video processing or streaming
- WebRTC or RTMP knowledge
- CDN optimization
- Event-driven systems / message queues

Compensation:
- Salary: Below market (early-stage constraint)
