A Senior Backend Developer to join a high-performing engineering team and help build secure, scalable, and high-performance software products.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications and services.
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions capable of supporting large user bases.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations for web and enterprise applications.
- Design efficient database schemas optimized for high-volume transactions and large datasets.
- Implement scalable architectures and ensure adherence to software engineering best practices.
Engineering & Product Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, frontend developers, and engineering teams to deliver impactful features.
- Participate in Agile development cycles, sprint planning, and release activities.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to product roadmap discussions and technical decision-making.
Code Quality & Performance
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and efficient code.
- Perform code reviews and refactoring to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Optimize application performance, API response times, and database operations.
- Develop unit tests and promote best practices around software quality and testing.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Troubleshoot application, integration, and production issues.
- Support release planning, deployment processes, and configuration management activities.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with development standards, security practices, and quality controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in backend software development.
- Strong experience with:
- .NET Core / .NET 6 / .NET 7
- C#
- ASP.NET MVC
- ASP.NET Web API
- REST API Development
- Experience designing and developing scalable enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Design Patterns
- SOLID Principles
- N-Tier Architecture
- Experience working with relational databases such as:
- SQL Server
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with LINQ, Lambda Expressions, and ORM frameworks.
- Knowledge of API management, API gateways, and cloud service integrations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Feature-Driven Development (FDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience writing unit tests using xUnit or NUnit.
- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO), Active Directory, LDAP, and authentication frameworks.
- Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and modern software engineering practices.
- Understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
