Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and domain-driven Business Analyst with experience in Operational Technology (OT), SCADA systems, and IT/OT integration. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives in industrial/IoT ecosystems.
Business Analysts play a key role in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and aligning technology solutions with business goals .
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Process Modeling & Optimization
- Create process flows and workflows using BPMN
- Analyze “as-is” vs “to-be” processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Drive workflow automation initiatives
OT / SCADA / IoT Integration
- Work on SCADA systems, OT data aggregators, and industrial platforms
- Support IT/OT integration and data flow between systems
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives including IoT ecosystems and digital twins
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Perform data analysis using SQL
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar tools)
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability for business insights
System & Platform Integration
- Work with enterprise systems like ERP, MES, and industrial data platforms
- Support integration between operational systems and enterprise applications
Testing & Validation
- Define UAT strategy and business test scenarios
- Validate solutions against business requirements
- Support go-live and post-deployment activities
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Strong experience in Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering
- Knowledge of SCADA, OT systems, and IT/OT integration
- Understanding of IoT ecosystems and digital twins
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Expertise in BPMN / process modeling tools
- Strong understanding of ERP, MES, and industrial platforms
Tools & Technologies
- SQL
- Power BI / Tableau
- BPMN tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Camunda, etc.)
- JIRA / Confluence
- Azure / Cloud (good to have)
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in energy, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial domains
- Exposure to digital twin platforms or Industry 4.0 solutions
- Knowledge of data integration platforms and APIs
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in industrial / digital transformation projects
- Strong understanding of both business processes and technical systems
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (business + engineering + operations)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
