Job details:
We are seeking a senior technical leader to define and drive the end‑to‑end architecture of next‑generation autonomy systems for unmanned platforms. This role spans beyond algorithms — you will orchestrate sensing, perception, localization, mapping, planning, and platform‑level integration into a safe, real‑time system.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define autonomy system architecture across sensing, perception/AI, fusion, mapping, planning, and navigation.
- Translate mission requirements into autonomy capabilities, performance budgets, and architectural trade‑offs.
- Define sensor suite and compute platform strategy, balancing SWaP, redundancy, bandwidth, and thermal margins.
- Establish clean module interfaces, APIs, data flows, and safety mechanisms.
- Lead vehicle‑level integration (sensor placement, networking, EMI/EMC, calibration).
- Set up validation pipelines (simulation, SIL/HIL, regression testing).
- Guide subsystem teams to ensure architectural consistency and integration quality.
- Debug cross‑module/system issues and enforce reliability mechanisms.
- Collaborate across mechanical, electronics, embedded, controls, QA, and field‑testing teams.
- Drive long‑term autonomy roadmap and mentor engineers.
- Represent autonomy architecture in stakeholder reviews, demos, and customer/leadership discussions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s in Robotics/CS/Mechatronics; Master’s/PhD in Robotics, Autonomous Systems, AI/ML, Computer Vision, or Control Systems is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of autonomy stack, AI/ML, SLAM, mapping, planning.
- Expertise in real‑time distributed systems, GPU/edge deployment, ROS2/DDS.
- Strong vehicle integration, validation tooling, debugging, safety frameworks.
- Proven leadership and cross‑discipline collaboration.
