Overview
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will act as the technical anchor for web and backend testing strategies. You will design scalable and modular automation solutions that bridge UI workflows and complex API layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Design: Architect and enhance a unified automation framework using JavaScript with tools like WebdriverIO and Playwright.
- UI & API Automation: Develop robust automation suites for frontend and backend systems.
- API Testing Strategy: Design automated suites for REST and SOAP services (XML-based), including data-driven testing and service validation.
- Polyglot Adaptation: Contribute to automation efforts in other languages such as Python or Java when required.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and maintain high code quality standards.
- Automation Leadership: Manage technical debt and evolve frameworks with emerging technologies.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of UI & API automation experience
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong OOP fundamentals
- Experience with REST & SOAP API testing
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skill
