Role Overview:
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, and database validation. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing robust automation frameworks and collaborating closely with agile development teams to ensure high-quality, scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks from scratch using Java
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium
- Perform API automation testing using Rest Assured and/or Postman
- Validate backend data using Oracle PL/SQL queries
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams in Agile/TDD environments
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Ensure test coverage across UI, API, and database layers
- Analyze test results, log defects clearly, and track them to closure
- Follow best practices for code quality, version control, and CI/CD integration
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java Programming
- Expertise in Selenium Automation
- Experience in API Testing using Rest Assured / Postman
- Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience in Automation Framework Design
- Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL for database validation
- Excellent communication skills
- Hands-on experience working in Agile / TDD environments with strong collaboration skills
Good to Have
Non‑Mandatory / Nice to Have
- CI/CD exposure using Jenkins / Maven / Gradle
