Role Description Senior Auditor role at Kalpa Advisory LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Senior Auditor will lead and execute audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and report preparation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Daily responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, testing internal controls, evaluating accounting processes, and identifying areas for improvement and cost savings. The role involves coordinating with clients, mentoring junior team members, preparing documentation for tax and compliance-related audits, and contributing to budgeting and MIS-related reviews. The Senior Auditor will also collaborate with the advisory team to support fund-raising assignments and strengthen overall financial governance for clients.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in statutory, internal, and tax audits, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting standards, financial statement analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Experience in designing, evaluating, and strengthening internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of taxation regulations, compliance requirements, and audit-related documentation.
- Familiarity with budgeting, MIS structures, and cost-analysis for process and cost optimization.
- Advanced skills in Excel and common accounting/ERP software; comfort with data-driven audit techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and client management skills, with the ability to collaborate and mentor team members.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent, with relevant experience in audit or advisory.
- Experience working with advisory, consulting, or virtual CFO service firms in Mumbai or similar markets is an advantage.
