Role Description The Senior Audit Associate will lead and execute audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and finalization of financial audits for a diverse portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, assessing internal controls, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising junior team members, guiding them through audit procedures, and supporting their professional development. The Senior Audit Associate will collaborate closely with partners and clients, prepare detailed audit reports, and provide recommendations to improve financial processes and controls. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, requiring regular interaction with clients and the internal team.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Financial Statements and Finance, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial information accurately.
- Proficiency in Auditing and Financial Audits, including planning, execution, documentation, and reporting in line with professional standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to identify issues, evaluate risks, and propose practical, data-driven solutions.
- CA Inter qualification with completed Articleship from a recognized Chartered Accountancy firm.
- Experience in audit and assurance services, preferably in a Chartered Accountancy practice environment.
- Sound understanding of applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting and take responsibility for client deliverables.
- Proficiency in common accounting and audit software tools; advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
