Looking for GCP Engineers.
The Cloud (Google) DevOps Engineer is a hands‑on engineering role responsible for building, automating, and operating Google Cloud platform capabilities used by live services.
The role translates approved architecture and security requirements into working infrastructure, pipelines, and operational controls. It supports delivery teams while maintaining the integrity of the GCP platform baseline.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate GCP infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, aligned to approved patterns and security specifications
- Manage and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for GCP workloads and shared platform components
- Implement and maintain GCP security baselines, guardrails, and configuration standards as engineering artefacts
- Support live services through incident triage, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation
- Execute platform changes using controlled change and release processes with clear rollback and evidence
- Provision and standardise GCP projects, environments, service accounts, and supporting services
- Maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure platform health and operational visibility
- Work with security, architecture, and service owners to implement approved requirements without disrupting services
- Produce and maintain runbooks, operational documentation, and handover materials
- Support governance, audit, and assurance activities by providing technical evidence and traceability
- Coordinate effectively with offshore/onshore teams and third‑party suppliers where responsibilities intersect
The Person
To be effective in this role, the individual must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3–5 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in production or enterprise environments
- Experience working within enterprise cloud platform teams supporting shared infrastructure services used by multiple delivery teams
- Experience implementing and maintaining automated infrastructure provisioning and environment standardisation within cloud environments
- Experience working within controlled operational environments with formal incident, change, and release management processes
- Hands‑on experience operating Google Cloud in an enterprise or regulated environment
- Strong working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent)
- Practical experience implementing security and compliance controls as part of platform engineering
- Experience supporting live production services, including incidents, change, and problem management
- Ability to work independently on defined work packages with minimal supervision
- Confidence working across engineering, security, and non‑technical stakeholders
- Clear understanding of operational risk, technical debt, and controlled remediation
- Working knowledge of enterprise governance expectations (security reviews, assurance, audit evidence)
