Job Description
Accounting AssociateDuties/Responsibilities
- Record approximately 15-20 journal entries per month and maintain appropriate backup and support for the journals.
- Review community P&L’s/Trend reports monthly and prepare ad hoc journal entries for reclasses and accruals.
- Complete trend analysis and explanations for revenue month over month variances
- Variance Report reviews/completion
- Daily review of community APIM queue for accurate coding/timely approvals
- Quarterly audit of MKCC for communities they support.
- Bi-weekly posting of ATK audits for the communities they support.Requirements
- 4-Year Accounting or Finance degree
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven, team-based environment.
- Analytical skills- identify variances on P&L
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Extensive Excel experience required. Experience with the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other data filtering/sorting and analysis tools a plus.
- Experience using general ledger software strongly preferred.
