Astrogate Labs builds free-space optical communication terminals — laser-based data links for space and terrestrial applications. Our technology has been validated through ISRO procurement and demonstrated with the Indian Navy. More on our website.
What this role involves
The responsibilities below are indicative and include, but are not limited to, the listed deliverables. Additional requirements may arise based on company priorities, launches, events, and business needs.
Brand & content
- Own and evolve Astrogate’s positioning across government, defence, commercial, and investor audiences.
- Build, maintain, and periodically refresh the company’s brand dossier, messaging framework, and communication assets.
- Run the company LinkedIn page and support founder accounts. Current baseline: ~6,000 followers and 2–3 posts/month. Target: 12,000–15,000 followers with 3–4 posts/week.
- Write 1 technical whitepaper per quarter and 1 blog post per month.
- Create and maintain product datasheets, case studies, website copy, presentations, and supporting collateral.
- Coordinate 2 external video productions per year and maintain an organised media library.
PR & industry visibility
- Manage media outreach independently and through PR partners and support story development.
- Target: 6 tier-1 media placements annually across publications such as ET, Mint, TOI, SatNews, Via Satellite, and equivalents.
- Research and apply for relevant awards and recognitions (3–4 submissions/year).
Events & engagement
- Coordinate marketing and logistics for exhibitions/ conferences etc.
- Organise lab visits and demonstrations in Bengaluru for partners, investors, media, and customers. Target: 12 hosted visits/year.
- Support briefing notes, presentations, factsheets, and communication material for government and institutional stakeholders.
- Manage customer gifting and festive outreach for key relationships.
Research and operations
- Publish a weekly update covering procurement opportunities, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Maintain CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and marketing analytics.
- Support cross-functional communication, outreach, and strategic initiatives as required.
Success in year one
- Agreed number of tier-1 press placements
- 8 qualified RFP or RFI invites received
- ₹10 Cr of marketing-sourced pipeline
- LinkedIn growth to 12,000–15,000 followers with improved engagement from baseline
- 12 hosted lab visits or demos completed
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years in B2B marketing, communications, content, or related roles
- Experience in technology, deeptech, aerospace, or defence is useful but not required
- Strong writing ability across technical and non-technical formats
- Ability to work independently and execute across multiple functions
- Comfortable researching from procurement portals, industry reports, and primary sources
- Familiarity with Canva or Adobe CC, SEO fundamentals, and marketing tools; video editing is a plus
