Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Associate Lawyer based in Delhi, India. The Senior Associate will handle end-to-end transaction execution, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and corporate documents such as shareholder agreements, investment documents, and business contracts. The role involves advising clients on corporate law, foreign investment, regulatory compliance, governance, and structuring matters related to India and the UAE. The Senior Associate will conduct legal research and due diligence, prepare opinions and advisory notes, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage timelines and deliverables. The role also includes mentoring junior team members, contributing to internal knowledge building, and supporting business development initiatives through client interactions and thought leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong corporate and commercial law expertise, including experience with transactions, contracts, and governance matters.
- Proficiency in regulatory and compliance advisory, particularly relating to foreign investment, cross-border transactions, and sector-specific regulations.
- Advanced drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills for complex agreements, legal opinions, and transaction documentation.
- Solid legal research and analytical abilities, with experience in due diligence, risk assessment, and structuring recommendations.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Law degree from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate, transaction, or advisory roles, preferably in a law firm.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters independently, mentor junior colleagues, and operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
