About the Role
The International Tax team at SAX India supports US-based tax engagements with cross-border tax compliance, reporting, and planning support. This role is suited for someone with 3 to 4 years of experience who can handle international tax workpapers, coordinate with US and India engagement teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare international tax returns and workpapers for US tax returns
- Need to work on forms like
- Forms 1040/1040NR
- Form 1041
- Form 5471/5472
- Form 8865
- Form 8858
- Form 3520
- Form 1120/1120S
- Form 1065
- Form 1116/2555
- Form 8938
- Fincen 114
- Assist with outbound and inbound cross-border tax compliance
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and forms for foreign entity reporting, disclosures, and disclosures tied to ownership thresholds
- Support international information reporting, entity classification analysis, and treaty-related documentation
- Coordinate with US Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners on open items and deadlines.
- Maintain organized workpapers and follow SAX documentation standards.
- Identify issues early and report the technical matters appropriately.
- Support review comments and incorporation of feedback with accuracy and speed
- Assist junior team members on recurring tasks and process discipline.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of experience in US taxation, specifically international tax.
- Strong working knowledge of cross-border US tax compliance
- Familiarity with international reporting forms and foreign information disclosure requirements
- Experience in a public accounting or tax outsourcing environment
- Good Excel skills and comfort working with multiple workpaper sets
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work effectively across time zones with US teams.
- Willing work for extended hours during the busy seasons.
- Working experience in CCH.
- Experience in Sureprep and Caseware could be an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked on Forms like 1040/1040NR,1041,1065,1120,1120S, 5471, 8858, 8865, 3520, Schedule K1s
- Exposure to inbound and outbound structuring concepts
- Prior experience in US tax engagements
- CPA, EA or pursuing them could be an added advantage.
