The Team
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our Global Public Relations team at our Global Capability Center in Gurugram. This role serves as the operational backbone of our external agency ecosystem and plays a key part in building out the framework of the global public relations function, including the processes, guidelines, and protocols that govern how the team operates across markets. The Senior Associate will ensure that every PR partner, contractor, and vendor relationship is well-documented, compliant, and seamlessly integrated into our broader communications function, while also helping research and establish new agency partnerships as the firm expands into new countries and regions. The ideal candidate brings strong project management instincts, an eye for process improvement, and a proactive approach to keeping a complex global program running smoothly.
How You Will Contribute
- External Agency Organization & Contract Management: Serve as the central point of organization for all external PR agency relationships across global markets, building a single source of truth for partner information. Locate, gather, and centralize all active Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Services Agreements, and related contracts from external PR agencies and contractors.
- Media Coverage Tracking & Reporting: Import and consolidate media coverage generated by external PR agencies into the team's central coverage tracker, ensuring a complete and accurate global view of earned media. Maintain consistency in how coverage is logged, tagged, and categorized across markets and agencies to support reliable reporting and analysis. Manage weekly updates to the A&M in the news section on A&M.com.
- Agency & Contractor Onboarding: Own the end-to-end onboarding experience for new external PR agencies and contractors, ensuring a seamless, consistent, and welcoming process from day one. Develop and maintain a comprehensive onboarding toolkit, including media policies and protocols, brand and messaging guidelines, escalation paths, points of contact, and reporting requirements
- Agency & Contractor Research: Support the global PR team in identifying and researching new agencies and contractors as the firm expands into new countries and regions. Conduct due diligence on prospective agency partners, evaluating capabilities, sector expertise, market reputation, client roster, and cultural fit. Establish and maintain background information on each agency, including key contacts, areas of expertise, regional coverage, and any prior or ongoing relationship with the global PR team
- Project Management & Framework Development: . Lead the project management and ongoing build-out of the Global Public Relations framework, defining the processes, guidelines, and protocols that govern how the team operates across markets. Develop, document, and operationalize standard operating procedures for core PR workflows, including media engagement, approvals, escalations, crisis response, and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in corporate public relations, communications, agency operations or comparable program management role. Experience in professional services, matrixed organization with multiple divisions and business units is a must
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors, agencies, or contractors, including familiarity with SOWs, NDAs, and contract lifecycles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to build trackers, use formulas, conditional formatting, and create reporting views
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams across global time zones
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interfacing with senior internal stakeholders and external agency leads
- High attention to detail, discretion when handling confidential information, and a process-improvement mindset
- Demonstrated experience building or operationalizing processes, frameworks, or playbooks, with the ability to translate ambiguous needs into clear, scalable protocols
- Strong research and due diligence skills, with the ability to evaluate vendors or partners across diverse markets and synthesize findings into clear recommendations
- Experience with media monitoring or coverage tracking platforms is a plus
