Job Title: Senior Associate, Global Market Vigilance (GMV)

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly analytical and data-driven Senior Associate to play a critical role in Global Market Vigilance (GMV). The ideal candidate must bring strong expertise in safety data analytics, trending, signal detection, dashboarding, and metric reporting, along with hands-on experience in Veeva Vault Safety or similar safety databases. This role will support end-to-end post-market surveillance operations to ensure regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and proactive safety insights for Unilever WBC products.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Data Analytics, Trending & Signal Detection
- Lead trending and signal detection activities across global Adverse Event (AE) datasets.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative safety data reviews to identify emerging issues, patterns, or unexpected trends.
- Develop and maintain metric dashboards, scorecards, and periodic trend reports for senior stakeholders.
- Utilize statistical & analytical tools to create predictive insights, early warning indicators, and data-based recommendations.
- Support signal validation, impact assessments, and escalation pathways for potential safety concerns.
- Collaborate with Data Science/Analytics teams to enhance automation, visualization, and analytics maturity.
Case Management & Compliance
- Lead intake, triage, and documentation of AE complaints using Veeva Vault Safety.
- Perform causality and seriousness assessments; ensure timely escalation of potential SAEs.
- Conduct duplicate checks and data quality reviews.
- Ensure alignment with global AE reporting standards, MedDRA coding requirements, and internal SOPs.
System & Process Optimization
- Support configuration, validation, and testing of safety database updates.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance analytics readiness and data integrity.
- Lead audits and reconciliations of safety data.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a point of contact for Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality, Call Centers, and CX teams.
- Present safety trends, insights, and risk indicators in cross-functional forums.
- Mentor junior team members on analytics methods and case processing.
- Drive and monitor CAPAs related to safety operations and data issues.
Reporting & Insights
- Generate, review, and interpret safety reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics summaries.
- Contribute insights to regulatory submissions and product reviews.
- Provide trend-based recommendations for product safety evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields.
- 5–8 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance.
- Experience with Veeva Vault Safety or similar systems.
- Proficiency in MedDRA coding and global AE reporting standards.
- Demonstrated experience in safety data analytics, trending, dashboarding, and signal detection.
