Role Description The Senior Associate, Capital Markets role is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. The individual will advise on capital markets transactions, including equity and debt offerings, IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, and private placements, while ensuring compliance with applicable securities laws and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, prospectuses, offer documents, agreements, and regulatory filings, and coordinating with clients, investment banks, regulators, and other stakeholders. The role involves conducting legal and commercial due diligence, analyzing financial and transactional structures, and providing clear, strategic advice to support complex capital markets deals. The Senior Associate will also mentor junior team members, contribute to knowledge management, and support business development initiatives within the capital markets practice.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex transaction structures and securities-related financial data.
- Robust analytical skills and experience in due diligence for capital markets and corporate transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Qualified lawyer (LL.B. or equivalent) with relevant bar admission and 4–8 years of post-qualification experience in capital markets or related practice areas.
- Proven experience working on equity and debt offerings, securities law advisory, and regulatory interactions (e.g., SEBI, stock exchanges, RBI where relevant).
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple transactions under tight timelines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to practice growth and client development.
- Exposure to corporate M&A, banking and finance, or regulatory work is an advantage; prior experience
