Role Description The Senior Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The Senior Associate will manage and advise on complex matters across the firm’s key practice areas, including corporate commercial work, dispute resolution, banking and finance, real estate, and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing agreements and pleadings, conducting in-depth legal research, preparing legal opinions and strategy notes, and representing clients before appropriate forums as required. The role involves supervising junior team members, coordinating with clients to understand their business and legal needs, and ensuring that deliverables are timely, accurate, and aligned with the firm’s standards. The Senior Associate will also support business development initiatives, contribute to knowledge management, and help maintain consistent quality across the firm’s practice.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in core practice areas such as Banking & Finance, Corporate Commercial Matters, Dispute Resolution (Litigation & Arbitration), Real Estate & Construction, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, reviewing contracts and pleadings, and preparing legal opinions, strategy documents, and transaction-related documentation.
- Advanced legal research skills, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear guidance.
- Experience with sector-specific laws such as Intellectual Property (Trademark & Copyright), Labour Laws, RERA, Prevention of Sexual Harassment Law, and other applicable compliance regimes is preferred.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and supervise junior professionals, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- LL.B. from a recognized university; LL.M. or relevant additional certifications are an advantage, along with prior experience as an Associate or Senior Associate at a reputable law firm.
