We are looking for a highly capable Senior Architect & Design Lead to join our residential architecture and interiors practice in Bengaluru.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience across residential architecture and interior design, with the ability to independently lead projects from initial brief and concept development through detailed design, technical documentation and execution coordination.
This role requires a strong combination of design ability, technical expertise, project ownership and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Design Leadership
* Lead residential architecture and interior design projects from concept through design development and project delivery.
* Develop architectural concepts, space planning, layouts and design presentations.
* Lead interior design development, including material selection, finishes, furniture planning and detailed design.
* Manage project timelines, deliverables, approvals and design revisions.
* Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the required design and technical standards.
Technical Documentation
* Prepare and review architectural and interior working drawings.
* Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, detailed and suitable for execution.
* Coordinate with structural, MEP and other consultants as required.
* Resolve technical and design coordination issues during the design and execution stages.
Project Coordination
* Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
* Conduct and participate in client presentations and project meetings.
* Maintain clear documentation of project decisions, approvals and revisions.
* Support site coordination and resolve design-related issues during execution.
Team Leadership
* Delegate tasks and guide junior architects and designers.
* Review drawings and design deliverables before they are issued externally.
* Support the development and training of junior team members.
* Ensure quality and consistency across project deliverables.
Design & Studio Standards
* Contribute to the development and implementation of drawing standards, templates and design documentation processes.
* Help maintain organised project files, drawing registers and revision systems.
* Contribute to the development of efficient workflows and quality-control processes.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch)
* 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in architecture and/or interior design.
* Strong experience in residential projects, including individual homes, villas and/or apartment interiors.
* Demonstrated experience handling projects from concept through working drawings and execution coordination.
* Strong understanding of architectural and interior detailing, construction methods and materials.
* Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and vendors.
* Experience guiding or reviewing the work of junior designers is preferred.
* Strong communication, presentation and client management skills.
* Highly organised with strong problem-solving and project ownership abilities.
Software Skills
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
* Proficiency in SketchUp and/or Revit
* Experience with rendering software such as Enscape, Lumion, D5, V-Ray or similar
* Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and presentation tools
* Comfortable using spreadsheets and project documentation tools
