Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and execution of retail, commercial, and interior design projects from concept to completion.
Develop innovative and functional design concepts, layouts, space plans, and design presentations.
Prepare and review detailed working drawings, construction drawings, furniture layouts, and joinery details.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings based on design, quality, and budget requirements.
Ensure designs are aligned with project brief, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and brand requirements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor design implementation, quality, and progress.
Identify design or execution challenges and provide practical, timely solutions.
Review shop drawings, samples, mock-ups, and material submissions for design compliance.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality and delivery timelines.
Lead and mentor junior architects, designers, and project team members.
Collaborate closely with the furniture and manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into high-quality, buildable solutions.
Participate in client meetings, design presentations, site meetings, and project reviews.
Maintain strong documentation and ensure all project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Stay updated with current trends in retail, commercial interiors, materials, furniture, and architectural design.
